作者簡介
德斯蒙德·莫里斯，英國著名動物學家和人類行為學家，1928年出生於韋爾特郡，1954年獲牛津大學博士學位，曾任倫敦動物園影像資料部主管和英國運動學會哺乳類動物部主任等職，自1967年起以其豐富的動物學知識開始研究人類行為，並寫有一系列使他揚名世界的人類行為學專著。除本書外，他的同類著作還有《人類動物園》、《親密行為》、《人類行為觀察》和《人體觀察》等
